Navigating big moments.

Every journey is unique. Your path may seem complicated and hard to follow, that's why our process starts with a conversation so that we can guide based on your goals.

Our mission is to always be there to guide fellow Australians in life's biggest moments.

Stanford follows a six-step process across all divisions: a free first conversation to establish the facts, a written plan setting out options, scope and cost, execution by a named team member who stays with the matter, coordination between the legal and financial divisions where a matter touches both, and a follow-up after completion. Clients are given written costs before work begins, and information moves between divisions only with written consent.

OUR PROCESS

Simple steps to make your dreams a reality.

A free kick-off conversation

Book your free consultation with Stanford and our expert lawyers and lending advisors work together to understand your goals.

We do the ground work

Before anyone recommends anything, we gather the facts: your documents, your circumstances, the details of the matter. The advice comes after the homework.

Present clear options

No jargon, no fine print you have to decode yourself. We lay out what's genuinely available to you and what each path means, so the decision is actually yours to make.

Action the plan

Once you've decided, we get moving: drafting, lodging, submitting, negotiating. Where a matter needs both a lawyer and a broker, they move in step with each other.

Achieve the dream

Settlement reached, keys in hand, the matter resolved. We stay commited until you get there, not just until the paperwork is signed.

Partner for life

The relationship doesn't end when the file closes. We stay in touch on what matters next, a rate review, a new stage of life, or simply checking in.
QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can't find an answer to your question?
What happens in the first consultation?
We start by listening. Your first conversation is about understanding your situation, your goals and your timeframe. If your matter touches more than one part of the group, we'll explain that before bringing anyone else in.
Do I need to bring anything to the first meeting?
Bring anything relevant to your situation, such as contracts, loan documents or correspondence you've already received. If there's anything specific that would help, we'll let you know beforehand.
How does information move between Stanford Legal and Stanford Financial?
Stanford Legal and Stanford Financial are separate, related entities, so your information is only shared between them with your permission. If your matter calls for both, we'll explain the referral and any benefit the group receives in writing before anything is shared.
Will I deal with the same person the whole way through?
Wherever possible, yes. We aim to keep one main point of contact for your matter from your first conversation through to completion, bringing in specialists from Stanford Legal or Stanford Financial as needed, without you having to repeat yourself.

Start with a conversation. There's no charge for it.

Whatever the moment is, the first step is the same: tell us where you're up to and we'll tell you honestly what your options are.
